The single largest bolt-on power adder. Doubles or triples horsepower when supported by fueling, cooling, and a tune.

Stock fuel systems are sized for stock power. Any forced-induction or big-cam build needs upgraded fueling, or it will run lean and damage the engine.

The 8HP is shockingly strong stock, but a higher-stall converter and recalibrated valve body unlock real launch and shift performance.

  A higher stall converter (3000-3500 RPM) lets the engine reach the meat of its powerband before applying torque — critical for built or supercharged motors.
  Tradeoff: Higher stall = looser highway feel and more transmission heat. Daily-driver-friendly stalls (~2400 RPM) are a safer bet.
