Why Install This?

Benefits

  • Better traction and more predictable cornering under power
  • Eliminates the one-tire fire from the stock open diff

Things to Know

  • Professional installation recommended — requires differential fluid and setup
  • Professional installation recommended — requires specialty tools or expertise

What Does This Do?

The 'gear ratio' determines how many times the driveshaft spins for each rotation of the wheels. Stock Challengers typically come with 3.06 or 3.73 gears. A 4.10 ratio means the driveshaft spins 4.10 times per wheel rotation — the engine revs higher at any given speed, which means you're in the powerband more of the time. The result is noticeably faster acceleration and harder launches. The trade-off: higher highway RPM means slightly worse fuel economy and more highway noise. This is the go-to gear for drag racing builds. Installation requires a differential specialist — setting up ring and pinion gears correctly requires specialized tools and experience.

Fitment Notes

Fits Challenger 8.25" rear. Verify axle code.

Tune Required

This part requires an ECU tune to function correctly. Without a tune, the engine computer won't adjust for the new part, potentially causing poor performance, check engine lights, or engine damage.

Technical Details

Numerically higher gear ratio for faster acceleration. Great for drag racing.
