What Does This Do?

StopTech is one of the most trusted names in performance brakes. The ST-40 uses 4-piston calipers with their AeroRotor design — the rotor has internal vanes that pump air through the disc for superior cooling. Benefits: dramatically shorter stopping distances, excellent heat management (the AeroRotor design is StopTech's best cooling technology), complete kit includes stainless steel lines and sport pads, and the price is the lowest among the big brake kits we offer. Fits behind most 18"+ wheels. Trade-offs: 4-piston calipers have slightly less even pad wear than 6-piston designs (because fewer pistons means slightly less even pressure distribution). The rotors are smaller than the Brembo or Baer kits (355mm vs 380mm/14"), which means slightly less total friction surface. But for the price, the StopTech ST-40 is the best value in big brake kits — you get 80-90% of the stopping power of the Brembo at less than half the cost. This is the smart choice for most Challenger owners who want serious brake improvement without going all-out.
