What Does This Do?
Flowmaster is the classic American muscle car exhaust brand. The Outlaw series uses their chambered muffler design for that deep, throaty V8 rumble that Flowmasters are famous for — it's a distinctly different sound from the smooth tone of Borla or Corsa. Benefits: aggressive muscle car sound at a reasonable price (one of the cheapest cat-backs available), lifetime warranty, mandrel-bent stainless steel for good flow, and the Outlaw is their loudest option. Trade-offs: there WILL be drone at highway cruise speeds. Flowmaster's chambered design creates a resonance between 1,800-2,500 RPM that you'll hear constantly on the freeway. Some people love it, others find it exhausting on long drives. The sound is also 'raspier' than Borla's smooth note — it's a matter of taste. If you want the classic American muscle exhaust sound and don't mind the drone, this is the best value. If drone is a dealbreaker, spend more for Corsa (RSC technology eliminates it) or AWE Touring.
