Why Install This?
Benefits
- Lower center of gravity improves cornering and reduces body roll
- Improved stance and appearance
- Moderate install — doable in a home garage with some mechanical experience
Things to Know
- May change ride quality — stiffer springs can be harsh on rough roads
What Does This Do?
Lowering springs replace your factory springs to drop the car's ride height — in this case about 1 inch. A lower center of gravity means less body roll in corners, and the car looks significantly more aggressive with less wheel gap. Benefits: better handling, better looks, and the Eibach progressive spring rate means the ride isn't harsh — it's firm over bumps but comfortable on the highway. Trade-offs: you'll scrape on steep driveways and speed bumps if you're not careful. The 1-inch drop is conservative enough to avoid most scraping issues. Tire wear may be slightly uneven unless you get an alignment after install (you should always get an alignment after lowering). If you live somewhere with rough roads or harsh winters, lowering springs may not be worth the trade-off. Ride quality is firmer than stock — passengers may notice.

Compatibility Conflicts
Coilovers include their own springs. Installing lowering springs with coilovers would mean double-springing, which is unsafe. Choose one approach: springs (budget) or coilovers (adjustable).
