What You'll Need

Socket set, fuel line disconnect tools. The fuel rail needs to be removed. A tune is MANDATORY — the engine computer needs to know the new injector flow rate or it will run dangerously rich or lean.

Why Install This?

Benefits

  • Moderate install — doable in a home garage with some mechanical experience

What Does This Do?

Fuel injectors spray precisely metered fuel into each cylinder. 'High-flow' injectors spray more fuel per pulse, which is necessary when you've added modifications that need more fuel — especially forced induction (supercharger/turbo). Benefits: DeatschWerks injectors are precision-matched and flow-tested to within 1% of each other, which means each cylinder gets the exact same amount of fuel. This precision prevents lean/rich cylinder imbalances that can destroy an engine under boost. Drop-in fitment means they use the factory connectors and fuel rail. Trade-offs: high-flow injectors MUST be accompanied by a custom tune — the ECU needs to know how much fuel these injectors flow so it can adjust pulse widths accordingly. Running high-flow injectors without a tune will cause the engine to run extremely rich (black smoke, fouled plugs, poor performance) or dangerously lean. These are ONLY needed if your modifications demand more fuel than the stock injectors can provide. Do not install these on a stock or mildly modified engine — they're for forced induction and heavily modified NA builds.

Tune Required

This part requires an ECU tune to function correctly. Without a tune, the engine computer won't adjust for the new part, potentially causing poor performance, check engine lights, or engine damage.
