What Does This Do?

As your engine runs, a small amount of combustion gases leak past the piston rings into the crankcase (this is called 'blow-by'). These oily gases are normally routed back into the intake to be re-burned, but the oil coats the intake valves with carbon buildup over time. A catch can intercepts this oily vapor before it reaches the intake. Benefits: prevents carbon buildup on intake valves (which causes rough idle and reduced power over time), keeps the intake tract clean, especially important on direct-injected engines (though the HEMI is port-injected, blow-by still gunks things up). Trade-offs: you have to remember to drain the can periodically (every oil change is a good reminder). It doesn't add any power — it's a preventive maintenance mod that protects your engine long-term. Think of it like a filter for your engine's breathing system.
