What Does This Do?

Mopar's own high-performance coils are the same units found on SRT and Hellcat models. They deliver a stronger spark than the base R/T coils and are a direct, no-hassle upgrade. Benefits: OEM quality and fitment means zero compatibility issues, the higher output helps on modified engines with larger plug gaps, and they're a straightforward 'take old coil off, put new coil on' swap. Full 16-pack covers the HEMI's dual-plug design. The Mopar name means parts counter availability at any Dodge dealer. Trade-offs: on a stock engine, the improvement is negligible — the factory coils are perfectly adequate for stock power levels. These become relevant when you've added a cam, boost, or are running colder plugs with wider gaps. They're also good preventive replacements on high-mileage cars (100,000+ miles) where the original coils may be weakening. Compared to the MSD Blasters, the Mopar coils are a more conservative upgrade — the MSD units deliver higher peak voltage but the Mopar units are built to tighter OEM tolerances.
