Why Install This?
Benefits
- Maximum straight-line traction for consistent launches
- Dramatically reduces 60-foot times at the drag strip
- Easy bolt-on installation — most people can do this in their driveway with basic tools
Things to Know
- Not suitable for daily driving or wet conditions
What Does This Do?
Drag radials are purpose-built for maximum straight-line traction. The ultra-soft R2 compound grips the pavement like glue during launches — the difference in 0-60 times is dramatic (often 0.5-1.0 seconds faster). They're DOT-approved so technically street-legal, but they're designed for the drag strip. Benefits: massive traction improvement for launches, your car will finally put all its power down instead of spinning the tires, and the 305mm width fills the rear wheel wells perfectly. Trade-offs: they wear FAST (5,000-8,000 miles), they're terrible in rain (hydroplane risk), they have almost no wet grip, and they feel squirmy in corners because the soft sidewalls flex. These are rear-only tires. Many owners keep a set of regular tires for daily driving and swap to drag radials for track days. NEVER drive these in rain.
Fitment Notes
Rear tires only (305/35R20). NOT recommended for front — they are too wide and too soft for steering.
