Why Install This?

Benefits

  • Incremental gains that stack well with other bolt-on mods
  • Improved exhaust flow and aggressive exhaust note
  • Cat-back systems are 50-state legal since they're behind the catalytic converters
  • Easy bolt-on installation — most people can do this in their driveway with basic tools

Things to Know

  • Sound level varies by brand — some are very loud, others more refined

What Does This Do?

The S-Type sits between Borla's quiet Touring and screaming ATAK in terms of volume. Most Challenger owners end up here because it's the Goldilocks option — deep and aggressive under acceleration with a satisfying rumble at idle, but not so loud that it drones on the highway or annoys the neighbors at 6 AM. Same T-304 stainless construction and million-mile warranty as the ATAK. The S-Type uses a combination of perforated cores and sound management to achieve its balanced tone. This is probably the best choice if your Challenger is a daily driver that you also want to sound great.

Fitment Notes

Fits 2015-2023 Challenger 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI.

Technical Details

Borla's mid-range exhaust. Aggressive but not obnoxious. The best balance for most people.
