What Does This Do?

Mishimoto's Elite catch can features a CNC-machined internal baffle system and a 50-micron bronze filter for extremely effective oil vapor separation. The direct-fit kit includes all brackets and hoses for a clean, factory-look installation. Benefits: the bronze filter is significantly more effective at separating oil from air than simple baffle-only designs (Mishimoto claims 98% efficiency). The CNC baffles create a tortuous path that forces oil droplets to condense and collect. The included brackets and hoses mean a clean install with no zip ties or improvised mounting. Trade-offs: more expensive than basic catch cans ($200+). The bronze filter can clog if not serviced — clean it every 10,000 miles or when you drain the can. Like all catch cans, this is preventive maintenance, not a power adder. If you're choosing between JLT and Mishimoto: JLT is simpler and cheaper, Mishimoto is more effective at separation. Both work well for the HEMI platform.
