Why Install This?
Benefits
- Reduces body roll in corners for flatter, more confident handling
- One of the most underrated handling upgrades
- Moderate install — doable in a home garage with some mechanical experience
What Does This Do?
The rear sway bar resists body roll at the back of the car. A stiffer rear bar shifts the handling balance toward oversteer (the rear end wants to slide), which makes the car feel more agile and willing to rotate into corners. Benefits: three adjustable stiffness settings let you dial in exactly how much rear grip vs rotation you want. The 25mm diameter is significantly stiffer than stock, and the blade-style construction keeps weight low. Great for autocross and canyon roads where rotation helps carry speed through corners. Trade-offs: a stiffer rear sway bar can make the rear end feel nervous on wet or bumpy roads — the rear tires have to share grip between cornering and absorbing bumps. On the stiffest setting, the inside rear tire may lift off the ground in hard corners (visible but not dangerous). You may need adjustable end links if the car is lowered. For a balanced setup, pair a rear sway bar upgrade with a matching front bar (like the Eibach Anti-Roll Kit). A rear bar alone makes the car oversteer-biased, which experienced drivers prefer but beginners may find unpredictable.
