Why Install This?
Benefits
- Better rear wheel location under hard acceleration and cornering
- Reduces wheel hop during launches
- Moderate install — doable in a home garage with some mechanical experience
What Does This Do?
Trailing arms are the suspension links that locate the rear axle front-to-back. When you lower a car, the rear axle's angle changes (called pinion angle), which causes driveline vibration, clunking, and accelerated U-joint wear. These adjustable trailing arms let you correct the pinion angle. Benefits: on-car adjustability means you can set the angle precisely without removing anything — just loosen, turn the adjuster, re-tighten. Polyurethane bushings are stiffer than the stock rubber, reducing rear axle movement under hard acceleration. This eliminates wheel hop — the terrifying bouncing that happens when the rear tires grab-slip-grab during hard launches. Trade-offs: polyurethane bushings transmit more road vibration and noise than rubber. You'll hear and feel more of the road surface through the rear of the car. The stiffer bushings can squeak when new until they're broken in. These are essential if you've lowered the car or drag race it. If the car is stock height and street-driven, the factory trailing arms are fine.
