What Does This Do?
Bilstein is the gold standard for OEM-quality performance shocks — many performance cars come from the factory with Bilstein units. The B8 5100 series is designed specifically for lowered vehicles. Benefits: dramatically better body control and cornering stability vs stock shocks (especially on a lowered car where stock shocks are compressed beyond their ideal range). The monotube design handles heat better than twin-tube shocks for fade-free performance. Height-adjustable front struts let you set your drop precisely. Trade-offs: these are shocks only, not coilovers — you still need lowering springs (sold separately). They're stiffer than stock, which some people feel over harsh bumps. The rear shocks are not height-adjustable (only the fronts). If you've installed lowering springs and your stock shocks feel bouncy or unstable, these fix that immediately. Best paired with Eibach or H&R springs.

Compatibility Conflicts
Coilovers include their own springs. Installing lowering springs with coilovers would mean double-springing, which is unsafe. Choose one approach: springs (budget) or coilovers (adjustable).
