Throttle Bodies

The throttle body is the butterfly valve between your air intake and engine — it controls how much air gets in when you press the gas pedal. A larger throttle body removes a restriction in the air path. The gains are small on their own but compound with other intake mods.

6. THROTTLE BODIES

What It Does

The throttle body controls airflow into the intake manifold. Upgrading from the stock unit allows more air to flow at wide-open-throttle, marginally increasing peak power. More importantly, it can improve throttle response.
