Why Install This?

Benefits

  • Incremental gains that stack well with other bolt-on mods
  • Easy bolt-on installation — most people can do this in their driveway with basic tools

What Does This Do?

Your engine spins the alternator, A/C compressor, and water pump via a serpentine belt. Each accessory steals horsepower to operate. BBK's underdrive pulleys are slightly smaller diameter than stock, which spins these accessories slower — freeing up 8-12 HP that was being wasted. The CNC-machined aluminum pulleys are also lighter than stock steel, reducing rotational mass. Installation is simple: remove the old pulleys, bolt on the new ones, and re-tension the belt. The only potential downside is very slightly reduced alternator output at idle (won't affect anything with stock electrical loads), and slightly less A/C at idle (most people never notice).

Fitment Notes

Fits 2011-2023 Challenger 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI.
