What Does This Do?

The radiator is the big heat exchanger behind your grille that cools the engine coolant. This Mishimoto unit is a dual-core all-aluminum design (vs. the stock plastic/aluminum hybrid). Benefits: 30% more cooling capacity than stock, all-aluminum construction eliminates the plastic end tanks that crack on stock radiators after 80,000+ miles, TIG-welded tanks are leak-proof, and the higher capacity is essential for forced induction builds where heat management is critical. Direct bolt-on replacement — no cutting or modification. Trade-offs: this is a preventive/preparatory mod, not a power adder. On a stock naturally-aspirated engine driven normally, you won't see any temperature change because the stock radiator is already adequate. This becomes important when you add a supercharger, track the car, or live in extreme heat climates where the stock radiator struggles. At $550, it's not cheap, but it's insurance against overheating — and an overheated HEMI is a very expensive problem. If your stock radiator is already showing signs of age (weeping from the tanks, discolored coolant), upgrade now before it fails.
