What Does This Do?

If you have a manual transmission Challenger, the clutch is what connects the engine to the transmission. Stock clutches can only handle so much torque before they start slipping — this South Bend Stage 2 holds up to 500 ft-lbs. Benefits: handles bolt-on builds (intake, exhaust, headers, tune) without slipping, organic material means pedal feel is similar to stock — your left leg won't get tired in traffic. Includes pressure plate, disc, throwout bearing, and alignment tool. Trade-offs: clutch pedal will be slightly heavier than stock (maybe 15-20% more effort). The organic disc engages smoothly but won't hold up to supercharged power — for forced induction, step up to the McLeod RST. Installation requires removing the transmission ($500-800 labor), so it's smart to do this at the same time as a clutch that's already wearing out. Don't upgrade your clutch until you actually need to — a stock clutch handles stock power perfectly.
