Why Install This?

Benefits

  • Higher friction compound for shorter stops and better pedal feel
  • Easy bolt-on installation — most people can do this in their driveway with basic tools

Things to Know

  • Aggressive track pads may squeal more on the street and wear rotors faster

What Does This Do?

Hawk's HPS 5.0 is their best street pad — it uses a ferro-carbon compound that provides roughly 40% more friction than stock pads while producing impressively low dust. That's the holy grail of brake pads: more stopping power without coating your wheels in black dust every week. The HPS 5.0 also has excellent cold bite (works well from the first stop, even on cold mornings) and very low noise. It's designed for aggressive street driving, not track days — if you're doing track days, step up to Hawk's DTC compound. But for a daily driver that you push hard on weekends, this is the pad to have.
