Driveline
Transmission (Automatic)
The 8HP is shockingly strong stock, but a higher-stall converter and recalibrated valve body unlock real launch and shift performance.
Torque Converter
driveline.transmission-auto.torque-converterA higher stall converter (3000-3500 RPM) lets the engine reach the meat of its powerband before applying torque — critical for built or supercharged motors.
Tradeoff: Higher stall = looser highway feel and more transmission heat. Daily-driver-friendly stalls (~2400 RPM) are a safer bet.
