Challenger Aftermarket Gauge Cluster and Digital Dash Options

Upgrading your Challenger's instrumentation gives you more data and a modern look. Here's what's available.

Factory Performance Pages (UConnect)

Before aftermarket gauges, understand what the factory system already provides. Challengers with UConnect 8.4 and the Performance Pages feature display:

  • 0–60 mph time
  • 60–130 mph time
  • 1/4 mile time and trap speed
  • G-force meter
  • Braking performance
  • Horsepower and torque output (estimated)

If your car has Performance Pages, this covers most data needs without any modification.

OBD-II Display Gauges

ScanGauge: Small unit that plugs into the OBD-II port. Displays coolant temp, oil temp, intake air temp, fuel economy, and more. Inexpensive (~$170) and unobtrusive.

Edge Insight / Garmin OBD Gauges: Touchscreen displays showing multiple OBD parameters simultaneously. Easy to configure, no wiring.

A-Pillar Pod Gauges

The most popular gauge mounting location for Challengers:

  • Fits 2" or 2-1/16" gauges (standard gauge pod sizes)
  • Aftermarket pods from AutoMeter, Dakota Digital, and Pillar Pod fit the Challenger's A-pillar
  • Common gauges: oil pressure, oil temp, boost (boosted builds), wideband AFR, coolant temp

Wideband AFR gauge: Most useful single gauge for any modified car. Shows real-time air/fuel ratio — invaluable for tune monitoring. AEM, Innovate, PLX are popular brands.

Full Digital Dash (Race Car Style)

AiM MXS Strada, Holley EFI Digital Dash, or Racepak systems replace the entire factory instrument cluster with a fully programmable digital display.

These require:

  • CAN bus integration with the factory ECU (or standalone ECM)
  • Professional installation and configuration
  • Cost: $800–2,500 for the dash unit plus installation

Most appropriate for dedicated track builds where the factory cluster information is insufficient.
