Why Install This?
Benefits
- Better rear wheel location under hard acceleration and cornering
- Reduces wheel hop during launches
- Moderate install — doable in a home garage with some mechanical experience
What Does This Do?
BMR's trailing arms are adjustable on the car — you can set the pinion angle without removing anything, which saves hours of labor. The 4130 chromoly construction is significantly stronger than the factory stamped steel arms. Benefits: on-car adjustment is the key feature — turn the adjuster to set pinion angle precisely after lowering or adding a heavier driveshaft. The chromoly construction handles the stress of hard launches without flexing. Polyurethane bushings eliminate the slop in the stock rubber bushings for more precise rear axle location. These are built for abuse — drag launches, burnouts, track days. Trade-offs: polyurethane bushings are stiffer than rubber, which means more NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) at the rear of the car. You'll hear more road noise and feel more bumps through the rear. The BMR arms are essentially the same concept as the 190 (which they partially overlap with) but with chromoly construction for higher strength. Essential for lowered or drag-oriented builds. Not needed if the car is at stock height and street-driven.
