What Does This Do?
Power Stop's Z26 pads use a carbon-fiber ceramic compound designed specifically for heavy, high-horsepower muscle cars. Benefits: strong stopping power from cold (unlike track pads that need heat to work), the 'scorched' surface means zero bed-in time — they're ready to perform right out of the box. Very low dust so your wheels stay clean, and minimal noise even during hard stops. The carbon-fiber reinforcement prevents the compound from breaking down under heat. Trade-offs: while better than stock, they're not as aggressive as the Hawk HPS 5.0 at high temperatures. For daily driving and spirited street use, the Z26 is excellent. For track use, the EBC Yellowstuff or Hawk DTC compounds are better suited. The 'street warrior' branding is accurate — these are optimized for real-world driving, not time-attack sessions.
