Brakes
Your brakes are the most important safety system on the car, and if you're adding power, you need to add stopping ability too. Stock brakes are designed for a stock car — once you start making more power and driving harder, they can overheat and 'fade' (get soft and ineffective). Brake upgrades range from simple pad swaps to complete big brake kits with massive rotors and multi-piston calipers.
Rear Brake Pads
Matching your rear pads to your front pads ensures balanced braking. If you only upgrade the fronts, the rear will be the weak link under hard braking. Rear pad changes are slightly different — the pistons often need to be rotated (screwed in) rather than pushed straight back.
