What Does This Do?

The intake manifold is the large aluminum piece that sits on top of the engine and distributes air to each cylinder. Holley's long-runner design uses longer intake passages that improve airflow velocity at low-to-mid RPM — this is where you feel the most difference on the street. Benefits: 15-25 HP gain with a tune, stronger mid-range torque (where you drive 90% of the time), the extra plenum volume supports future forced induction builds. The cast aluminum construction is significantly lighter than the factory composite manifold. Trade-offs: gains require a tune to be fully realized (hence the requiresTune flag). The manifold itself is expensive, and professional installation is recommended due to coolant line routing and proper gasket sealing. This is a mid-to-advanced mod — install it after you've already done intake, exhaust, and headers. On a stock engine, the factory manifold isn't a meaningful restriction. This shines on cammed or boosted builds where the factory manifold becomes the bottleneck.

Tune Required

This part requires an ECU tune to function correctly. Without a tune, the engine computer won't adjust for the new part, potentially causing poor performance, check engine lights, or engine damage.
